I must disagree with neutering causing the bitch stripe....that has to do with genetics (IMO) more than anything.  My male is still intact at 5 years of age and doesn't just have a bitch stripe, but he's pretty doggone faded too.

I know plenty of intact males (of all lines) with bitch stripes.

The female in the first photo that Hamza gave as an example is indeed a sable (I think this is the one that Sunsilver is saying is a saddleback black and tan - forgive me if I have misinterpreted this) she was bred and owned by myself, her name is Champion Antilli Nathalie, the photo above was taken when she was about 8 years old in a veteran class. And to answer the question, yes of course she is allowed in the showring, she gained her champion title in 2000.

If that is indeed your dog and you finished her, then I guess she IS a sable. I use capitals with my IS because I am sure you know what your dog is as opposed to NOT knowing.....Thank You!!

You can also learn alot about the "Sable Colored Dog" from the Arlett website.
Personally, I would love to see more Sable colored dogs in the Conformation world.....and I am looking into purchasing one again.
