Eldee

Maya had pano is the left front leg.  It would come and go but it was always the left front leg. Vet prescribed Metacam for the bad days, but suggested using aspirin for the not so bad days. Someone from this site also suggested supplementing with Vitamin C and D. I give Maya a 500 mg Vitamin C everyday.  She is fine now, but it did take what seems like forever for it to clear up.

If he's been limping that long, I would get a CT scan of his elbows or shoulder xrays or both. He could have FCP or something that won't show up on xray and you could be wasting valuable time that he could be getting it fixed via arthroscopic surgery. The more arthritis he develops, the more guarded the prognosis when/if he does finally have surgery.

Running on a leash isn't running unless you can run as fast as a dog his age can run .. running off leash is running.

He just has short bursts of crazy run on the leash but doesn't seem to limp when he does, Vet said to give him aspirin when it is bothering him and I have done that twice, both times he threw up, so now I am putting curcumin a natural antinflamitory on his dinner, also supplementing with ester C, I am hoping it is Pano his limp seems a little less today after chiro but we will see, chiropractor said he was very out probably due to the limping, he weighs between 65 and 70 lbs and i am keeping him lean, jeez i even weigh out his food so he doesn't get overweight and put more strain on his joints, he is a happy boy, you wouldn't even know his leg bothered him if he didn't limp,
