Actually, I think I read some where that, what is now known as the West German Showline used to also be used in war time, as some type of working dog.

It doesn't have to be full DDR or that age what is more important is my family safety. like I said, I work over nights and with crime up and break-in being one that's on the rise it would make me fill better knowing that my wife and kids have someone who would put his life on the line as I would so the most Important thing is not his bloodline nor his age. So if someone knows a respectable breeder who can help out let me know think you for your time.

You can actually even get a nice rescue or shelter dog, there are some really nice dogs there that would love to protect your home and family! It doesn't have to be a purebred or registered dog to be a good home guardian.
