Congratulations, Jyl! He's simply lovely, and I second the observation that he's got a very strong gaze--it will be quite intimidating to anyone who doesn't belong near your house or vehicle, and I'll bet he's gonna turn it on the helper during protection work, too!
I wish you nothing but the best with him, many, many years together and countless adventures shared.

You HAVE a winner there for sure...a pedigree with dogs to die for...Karthargo, Tom, and you may have another
VA7 Frei von der Gugge, as I was pleasantly pleased to find on top....but not only Frei but 10 others who carry the weapons ......
no greater dog to have way back even, in his pedigree...Alfra, and so many , many great dogs in his pedigree..
Unbelievable......NOW I know where the look in those eyes came from
lol
Great diamond in the RUFF for sure..go for it.

Beautiful new boy, I love his fluffy coat and perfectly erect ears. Does he get along with Xena or are you keeping them separated?
Sorry to hear about your other male, I don't recall hearing what happened to him. It's always so hard to lose a friend...

Xena and Koal have met thru the fense but have not been together yet. I will soon though.. just wanted to give them time to adjust to each other. So far they play together thru the fense and hand toys back and forth.. so that is good.
Koal is a goofy pup still, but I like his temperment so far and he seems like he is going to be a real joy to train. He has endless energy so that is good. I have played ball with him and done some minor OB stuff with food. He is VERY focused on what he is doing and nothing so will break his attention, so that is good. It took me a while to find a dog that was around his age that was "green". I didnt want to have to "fix" someone elses training mistakes. I wanted a dog that had a foundation in grip work but didnt have much or any OB. Koal is exactly that. The guy I purchased Koal from was brutally honest on what Koal was, and I thank him for that! He told me how Koal was and that is exactly what I am seeing in the dog.

Training at the club went well today. He has very nice grips...full, hard and calm even under some pressure. He is a VERY high prey drive dog.

His coat really shines. He sure is a looker, thanks for the recent pics and congrats on a successful first training day!

Thanks. I was pleased with how Koal worked. I have only had him 3 weeks tomorrow. So it was his first time on this training field, first time seeing the helper and he did very well. We will need to start working on getting him to bark soon. He was totally locked in prey. We will start working on the barking next week.
