Does anyone know the results regarding the amendment? Was it voted on?

What is the J.A. amendment??

by Dobermannman on 02 November 2012 - 00:11

"Actually most of the officers elected were asked about reversing the amendment, and all were for leaving it in place"

BULL SHIT !
I'll wager the JA is gone before the next election.

The Johannes Grewe amendment  forbids any UScA member to belong to any competing GSD organization (WDA).
Johannes got TWO.votes vs 58 for Karen McIntyre in the National Breed Warden election. If anyone thinks that isn't a clear message about how the members feel about Johannes AND the amendment? Put down the crack pipe. I expect there will be some major shake ups in other organizations.

Correct, Thomas, and there is a motion on the table to change the amendment to disallow only principals in the organization from being members in competing organizations and I expect that it will or already has passed.  Bob, I love you, man, but with all due respect, you really haven't been around long enough to understand why the whole JA thing has been so offensive to so many people who were members of both organizations for so long.  The WDA is currently well on its way to making itself irrelevant all by itself and without UScA needing to shit on their members to make that happen.

by Dobermannman on 02 November 2012 - 01:11

Keith,

Principals only makes sense. I'm not a WDA member and have no desire to be. I (and lots of others) objected to anyone telling me what clubs I can or can't join. It looks like the WDA is alienating some of it's members already. UScA could see a big increase in members if it uses common sense.

Agreed, Thomas.  I was a member of both for a time, was shitty about the JA and was a member of the WDA, bought a working line dog, joined a USCA club and let my WDA membership lapse, rejoined USCA but registered my dog as a co-ownership with my girlfriend with the intent of having her join the WDA so we'd have that venue if we wanted to show/trial in it and am sort of on the sidelines about the whole WDA thing at this point.  There's a lot of ridiculousness going on on both sides of the fence.  I don't really care...I really just joined the USCA because the WDA doesn't have a ScH 3 club as far as I know and I want to HOT train my pup to his 3 so that you won't be able to dog me any more.

well, I'm one of the ones it affected and I did bitch and moan a bit. It's just human nature to do so, even if it's bitching and moaning about people who bitch and moan.

by Dobermannman on 02 November 2012 - 01:11

Rik,

I'm gojng to bitch and moan about people who bitch and moan about people who bitch and moan  ;-)

I never like the JA. If there are only a few events held in my area every year and half of them are WDA I want to be able to title dogs and or get show ratings & Koerung in any and all
of them.

by Bob McKown on 02 November 2012 - 02:11

I,ve been around long enough to see whiners and pussy try to destroy good people over buddies being pissed off and immaginarly slighted. I,ve been around long enough to know that yes like it or not the JA effected a few, more then a orginization. The GSDCA looks at the WDA like a unwantted orphan, It gets you a benifit but you would rather not feed it and cloth it. . If not please explain there flirt with the AKC and there SDA program.

USCA has had and will have a solid future if they decide the working breed should be it,s focus. The "Good ole boys" and the "Moaners and bitcher"  are yin and yang neither can exist without the other.
