I heard the Germans were selling some of their automobiles to foreign countries too.

by bazza on 30 September 2010 - 15:09

Who told you that? What prices do they go for? lol

Videx

 Dog1: priceless!

by Jantie on 06 October 2010 - 09:10

Dear Mr./Mrs. Moderator,

would you please reprimand Videx and Bazza. They are clearly urging/bullying other people, in order to turn things into a mockery and kill a valid conversation/discussion.

Then we could go on with the knowledgeable people providing insight information to the GSD-enthusiasts all over the world and continue this thread on China-imports (a growing business indeed).

Where were we?
The question was raised: "What prices are they going for?"

Let me see: what were the last China Imports sold for?

CSZ8002370 Jannik vom Agilolfinger: 10.000 Euro
CSZ8002371 ANNACARTON HERO: 35.000 Euro
CSZ8002372 Toni von der Rieser Perle: 150.000 Euro

It all depends on their titles/estimated value and the question: how bad is their owner in need of money / funds?
And our Chinese friends are perfectly aware of the faults in the progeny, any anatomical corrections, or hip statuses... So they won't be fooled easily! They're certainly NOT gonna pay too much!

Only a while ago CSZ8002354 Furbo degli Achei went away for 240.000 Euro.

Who says it's not about the money?

You are all just infantry! So that the Happy Few (big breeders and judges) can promote their champions and make money.

Hi Dog1:
Was a nice joke: "I heard the Germans were selling some of their automobiles to foreign countries too"

Bu then again, it's NOT just a nice joke.
If you think about it, VOLVO was already sold to China,
and other makes will follow soon.

In fact, there is nothing to joke about, as China is becoming the biggest power on this earth.
Are you joking when one talks about the millions of jobs lost in the US of A, and the people having lost their houses?
I don't think so.
China has just stepped into Greece, to help them master their financial crisis, and therefore into the European Union. Just to help people out?
Can you see me laugh?
So think twice when making a joke.
This China-Imports-thread covers more than meets the eye!

@ Jantie

I shouldn't worry too much about 'bullying' - not on the PDB LOL. When people you have no respect for insult you it has no meaning anyway.  Apart from being very busy, I was also waiting until someone who actually had something useful or informative to say re-joined the thread.

@ Kyle - LOL

Jantie: You simply don't like people who see through your "SPECULATION".

Your comments have a little bit of fact (sometimes) and a huge amount of speculation and rumour and uninformed opinion.

The only audience you have are the ignorant and uninformed morons. Those who actually know, simply ignore you, because if they were to respond they may be drawn into giving information and sources which they do not wish to share with morons.

You can measure your audience by simply considering the likes of Abbey Normal. THAT says everything!

One thing that morons have in common, they believe that when someone simply tells them the obvious about themselves, for example "that they are ignorant morons" or "anonymous ignorant morons", they call it bullying. How ridiculous!

Your request to the moderator is simply pathetic!

You only want an audience that is so ignorant they are incapable of seeing you for what you are. A twisted person who writes a huge amount of unsubstantiated drivel.

You will not change, you cannot change. Those who believe your claptrap are ignorant morons. They will simply become misinformed ignorant morons.

David,
as I can see where you are coming from, one has to admit (that is, if that person would not be ignorant to a degree that would be considered unreal), that Jantie & his family went through a lot of grief over their beloved dog. He did a amount of research that most of us never did, never bothered to do. Clearly, some of his numbers are whacko, but some, (and I believe around 75%) are just plain simply stating facts. The statues of the SV are quite clear : " No professional dog brokers or professional breeders"
I leave it up to you, to decide what exactly is happening. Even the figures that are for the dogs mentioned are not out of whack - ask yourself again, do these figures really display "Hobby" or are they the revenue of a professional venture ?
In the beginning of Jantie's adventure, I had my doubts aswell. After doing just a little research myself with "official" numbers from the SV, it surely became clear to me that not all numbers that Jantie presents are made up by him.
True, nobody wants to admit to this, just the thought of it su**s.
Jantie is also not from a diffrent planet, nor would I consider him beeing stupid, he just puts his finger into a wound, and that just dont sit with everybody. IMO, he has a lot of ba**s to call the game what it is, something we all know for a long time, but we never had the guts to say it out loud.
So, David, I would really like to see that you do not refrain about Jantie as a Moron, because he is not. I would also not like to see someone calling you a Moron, because I believe you are not.
Best Regards
Ulli

Jantie,

I see your point. The Chinese are masters of reverse engineering the products of other countries. They could be buying these dogs and taking them apart to see how they're made. Once they discover the secret. They will be able to duplicate the German Shepherd.

Pretty soon we will be seeing German Shepherds advertised on PDB that look like the real thing but actually are Chinese copies. Thanks for the heads up.

Ulli - Good post. Polite too, as is Jantie.

You have clearly taken the time to do your own research, rather than just slob back and dismiss it. I know there are many other noted people in the breed (in Germany too) that hold the same view. If those who are so keen to dismiss can provide alternative facts let's hear them. If people hold to the view that it 'isn't all about money', lets hear the rationale for that (given the figures that are available).

Can anyone argue as to how it fits with the SV statutes in respect of hobby breeding? OK Let's hear it - put your money where your mouth is so to speak (Videx you may have to stand up at this point).

Dog1 - Love the jokes.
