Hi Ara Haus:
Last year, I had 2 puppies shipped over from Slovakia to Michigan. The male was 9 weeks ( a BIG boy) and the female was 8 weeks ( petite). They came together in one very large crate and did really well during the long flight. They came out of the crate with tails wagging - completely unfazed by their flight.
I don't know if you considered using a broker once they're in the States but it can really simplify the process of getting the pup through customs. If you need a good broker, I would recommend Jean Duncan.
This has to be a very exciting time for you. Will you post a picture of your pup once it's here?

Thanks Cassandra,
I have never considered a broker. I normally just fly with the animals myself. When I lived in Germany, it was much easier to just drive or take a train throughout Europe! I have a few friends over there that are willing to handle transport to the Airport if needed but as I am finding out, most of the pet transports are willing to just pick up at the breeders location. I have requested pricing for one pup alone as well as both combined. Anyway, Do you have Jean Duncan's contact information? I am more than willing to check into it! I will most definately post pictures of the pups, we are very excited to add to the pack!!
Take care,
Don

I've had 3 pups (littermates at 8 wks old) shipped together in the same big crate before, and have also shipped 2 in the same crate a few times, they will do it no problems, and I always use a broker, trust me it will save you TONS of stress/worry, that's their job and they make sure everything goes very smoothly, I don't mind paying for peace of mind.

Don I flew a dog from Croatia to Chicago - I live in Michigan - we used Gradlyn. The dog flew direct from Frankfurt to O'Hare in Chicago. Customs in Chicago was a breeze, I had no problems what so ever. We used no broker and it went very smoothly.
