Just because a dog is handler soft, doesn't mean it will have weak nerves. Two different things.

Absolutely. Soft has nothing to do w/weak nerves. My soft boy is rock solid. Totally unflappable, completely stable. Just a big Momma's Boy who likes to stay on my good side, while the GSDs sit around and plot and whisper to each other about their latest ideas to give me gray hair. LOL
There are very thin-nerved dogs who are anything but soft...that's an interesting and often dangerous combination, imo.

Thanks for the responses. Still looking for a home or foster for this girl. The report comes from Kenny who rescued her from the original owner. This is what was given him and then he added what he has dealt with since getting her. I will find out if she is spayed and let you all know. I am pretty sure I remember him saying she was but I will make sure.
I took one in several years ago, very similar situation except the owner encouraged the aggressive behavior. He thought it was cool that his dog growled at his kids. Well it mouthed a kid in the neighborhood. Off to the humane society it went. I was allowed to take it since I had worked with GSD for 10 yrs and understood the risks. This dog had bad genetics compounded with a stupid owner. The dog and I got along very well. He came up heartworm positive at the bet check I took him to, but the worst thing , he escaped from my kennel and terrorized my neighbors trying to bite and attack anyone unprovoked. I had him put to sleep. He was not one that could be saved. I would have rather put his owner to sleep but that is still not allowed. We can only hope.
