I don't mean to be a fuddy duddy.  Here's Ozzy, nickname "Bonehead" or "Crash", playing so proudly with his tire.

LOL Bob. Thanks for the laugh that's great.  Sounds like my kinda dog. I like my dogs hard and kind of a smart a**. You definately can't own one of these guys and not have a sense of humor and not have a few I hate dog days. wink

LOL well crash really likes that tire! He looks like a lot of fun.  It is hard to find toys or anything these guys can't destroy. When we first bought our house my male Lucas (butthead) had never really had a big fenced in yard to run in and play by himself since I had always lived in town before.  We bought a split level which is as tall as a 2 story house.  The second day here I had put Lucas out in the fence and in a rush to unpack had forgotten to give him anything to play with.  I start hearing this awful banging look out back and Lucas had gotten bored and ripped the rain gutter completely off the house and was running around the yard with a 20 foot rain gutter sticking out of his mouth and boy was he proud of himself. Had to give him a 100 gallon steel cattle feeder for his water and if I don't make sure it is filled past the half way mark he will tip it over and try to push it around the yard. Gotta love him otherwise I would be insane. But boy does he like to work!!!

Love the way Ozzy/Crash plays with his tyre. He's clearly very happy with his rubbery friend. It's true to say that I've never found ANYTGHING that Jenzi cannot destroy. maybe an old tyre is just what she needs.

Correct me if I'm wrong as I'm new to owning WL GSDs but they seem to be incredibly strong physiocally. Much more so than the "normal" GSDs (maybe not the right way to say it). Jenzi, for example, will quite happily move my solid wood & leather sofa which stretches the length of one wall of my living room in order to get somethign out form behind it if she can't reach underneath. That's whether I'm sat on it (and beleive me I'm no lightweight), my 6 yr od Son is sat on it or whether the other dogs are lying there.
If I ask her "Babar (nickname for her), what are you doing?" She looks at me as if to say "You silly cow - isn't it obvious?!". To be honest, I ahve no answer to that. She's far too intelligent for her own good.
She has been known by the name "dingbat" before now. i think it suits her perfectly.

when we got Bailey she was about 3 month old and weight only 19 pounds (longs story, lets just say she was an unexpected addition)....she was with us for less than a month and was slowly getting up in weight she was maybe 25-26 pounds at the time I brought home 37 pound frozen turkey and left it in a sink to defrost while we went out for few hours...I do not know how she did it..she could barely reach top of the counter with her paws if she stood up but she managed to pull frozen turkey out of the sink, which must have landed hard because we had slimy turkey juice splatter all the way up on the ceiling..she chewed on one leg and a bit on the back...didn't ever eat 5% of the turkey but made sure it was comfortably laid on her bed...my husband could not believe that a dog weighing less than a turkey can do that...all i said was "welcome to the world of working gsd's"....

now days as i type this i have an open box of dog biscuits sitting on the floor, cat food in the kitchen, left overs from slow cooked meat on a plate on the counter and i know she would not as much as sniff it, of all dogs we can trust her with the house explicitly...now if i had a tennis ball in the house and if it was hidden in my dresser...that would have been a different story..LOL...all balls are kept outside because she is a searching machine and she is not shy where she looks for it..LOL

Not sure what that link means Keith.  I"ve only ever had one tail chaser and it was pure GSL.
