I myself am a fan of the longcoats and have 2 of them. My first I didn't even know until someone told me. She came from a BYB because at the time I didn't know any better, and since have spent countless hours and $$$ on training to combat her fear reaction. With my second, I was adamant about finding another Longcoat, but even moreso about finding one from a breeder that didn't breed for longcoats, but instead for the standard, health, and temperament. Now I have the best of both worlds. :-)

For those who swear by the standard please answer me this why did the German Shepherds from the 1940's look one way and after the 1970's they look a different way if the standard is truly a standard the would look the same right? Look at this

I think everyone can agree that GSDs have changed very much since it's beginnings. Some ways for they better some not so much. If somebody wants an oversize, long coated, laid back, pet puppy here in the US thats fine there is no shortage on people breeding that. But it is always best for people to at the very least try to find someone who actually is breeding stable and health screened dogs. I didn't say this breeder isn't doing that but as far as what I can tell looking at their website it's very hard to figure out. plus most of the time breeders in this particular market appear to be way over priced. many charge more than good working lines and are simular prices to decent european show lines. When they aren't putting the same amount of money in as the other types of breeders it seems like price gouging to me.

vonissk pretty much nailed it.
I would go a step further and say to the OP of this thread and the others endlessly commenting on how great these dogs are. you should post your ads in the ad section, that's what it's there for. and that is what you are doing, trying to sell fake GSD with your multiple user names, all praising yourself.
the SV did change it's stance on LSC, I'm pretty sure they haven't changed anything regarding breeding requirements, title, survey, etc. or H/E certification.

You need to do some more homework, Dr. Lyons.

these "ads" are becoming so common here that I have taken the time to format a form letter in hopes of saving the sellers time.
I came across a dog recently so impressive, I had to make an inquiry. It was owned by:
(pick one)
1. a neighbor
2. a relative
3. a stranger in the park
4. Dr. lieons
The dog turned out to be a German Shepherd, only better. It was called a:
(pick one)
1. King Shepherd
2. Shiloh Shepherd
3. pibald
4. hybred
5. Ayers LC GSD
What impressed me so was that this (pick one above) GSD seemed so well suited to any purpose a GSD could be called to do. What a perfect dog.
In closing, I want to emphasize that I am not a breeder of (pick one) GSD, was just so impressed I felt the intense urge to join this forum today and share.
permission granted to use this "recommendation" if no changes are made.
