I like yellow, she is smart, calm and confident as you say. But i would wait and run them both on things could change over the next few months, both are lovely pups, good luck

I had in the beginning wanted red, cause she reminded me of her grand-ma Sam,
in the way she would strut around and had nice self confidence, Then, two people picked yellow collar, and I noticed she had Sam's body type, nice & solid.

Now this morning red collar girl, and green collar boy, (I'm going to co-own the boy with a friend)
had scaled the baby gate (2 feet) and all the other pups were crying at them, cause they escaped,
that to me was impressive.......

Maybe it should be red.......

If your heart is going with red then keep her, sounds like she might be full of mischeif and keep you on your toes :)

Do you want calm or do you want drivey?

They are both beautiful!

IMO Drivey (the not sitting still ones) are good for working dogs/protection/sport.
The calm ones are for quiet show/pet/companion.

They seem so young, its too early to tell. Things may change for sure.

Thanks everyone,

I am always picking the pups that escape first out of the pen, and I think that sealed the deal this
morning, I'm looking for a dog that is trying to seek out people, and climbing over the gate is also a good indication of health, agility and problem solving.
I find the dogs with more drive can be easier to train cause they tend not to lag behind, they keep up with you, but I am sure ALL the pups will fit the bill, just can't keep EVERYONE!

Just a few weeks ago at training, the trainer had mentioned that a dog that is not a leader but a follower will be harder to train, as in a leader I mean a very confident dog, cause of course I will be leading them....(Hopefully!)wink

This has been a tough one!

Mirasmom, Can you run them on for a bit longer?  At this minute from the photos. Yellow is much better "put together"  however at this age it can change from day to day.. Much better head, shoulder and rear.   Red would be the choice for working temperment though.  The ones that are trouble are often the ones you want to keep.  They are really really young.  I typically dont even look at working ability til 7 weeks then again at 9 weeks and 13.  I don't think yellow will be all that light of a sable either.  Lighter than her sister but she looks like she will end up dark as well.  It would be too early for me to pick at this moment... would hate to place the wrong pup :)
