slam she was put on a harness and tied to something while i stood by her then presented a sleeve he had a stick with him but he never made any threatening moves or anything i was petting her

i guess compared to what i have seen before i didnt consider that agitation but maybe it is she just started barking lunging towards him right away

i am just use to people screaming runnning towards hhitting etc.. this guy was really passive no intense eye stares etc..

slam he had the stick in his hand but he never used it to hit her or anything was just shaking it

she was also outting on command whenever the helper would say out she would out (let go of sleeve) not right away but slowly shes been taught the command before i got her

i had no idea till i had her worked in bite work today for the first time

if you work a dog on early stage on prey , you dont let the dog out  on the decoy , the dog wins allways , carrys the sleeve , bring the dog back to the helper while carrying the sleeve
helper puts sleeve back on while still in dogs mouth ,  , as soon as the dog counters a few time , let the dog win again and run and carry

each dog is differently balanced in drives , some are hard to trigger into defence , some dont need much

Destiny,
I think since you are new to protection sports you may not have the experience to explain how the decoy worked your dog or what your dog was doing.  Nothing wrong with that, we all have to start somewhere.  Sounds like you have a dog that will work and that is great.  The best thing for you to do is join a club and really watch the experienced people work their dogs.  Ask questions there and get feedback immediately after working your dog.

To try to explain all of the things you are asking here will take a whole lot of time and effort.

i am going to be going back to the ring club for now but i am canadain so not sure i can join it but ill go once a week for now and see how it goes and see how we like it, i will join another club when i feel 100 percent about it after making a crappy commitment and wasting 1k i wont make the same mistake again.

i will start to make videos soon so others can see and let me know how it is going

Canadian....may be hard getting into any club:-)

video is great but make sure you as the permission of the decoy/helper before posting in on the net.  If people only see one part of the training session they may not understand what the helper was actually working on and "take it out of context" which could lead to a bad view of the helper .
