I also want to do tracking so will be doing that with a different trainer. Reason I am getting into French Ring Sport is that the Lady lives about 10 mins from where I live and offered to help me get started. Not sure how far I will go...but we will see what the puppy shows. I tried to pick a breeding that would give me potential to compete...time will tell.

Having easy access to a good trainer is Pericles!!!
We travel 2 hours drive one way to get to the ring club but do a lot of our training at our home field.
Just out of curiosity what is your pups pedigree?
No matter what the venue the most important thing is to remember (I often have to remind myself too), is make sure you are enjoying it, cause if you are not having a good time then the dog probably is not either.
