My dogs are outside in kennel runs during the day while I am at work.  When I am home they are out in the yard or in the house with me.  I keep them in with me at night.  I like having my dogs around so it is my choice.  And since I choose to bring them in and out of the house that way, I do not leave them out in any extreme weather hot or cold, because that wouldn't be fair.  A dog who is out all the time develos a coat that is best suited for that, same for a dog that is in all the time.  So one that is in and out isn't prepared to deal with extreme temps.

My dogs are inside but I never had more than two together at one time. We walk lots on and off leash every day. I couldn't imagine having more than two dogs inside at a time. If I had more dogs, I would have outside kennels and maybe rotate them.

I have three that rather prefer to be outside all of the time, even in the winter months. They are housed in 20x10x6 kennels... One female, stays out in the day and in at night. All the other dogs are rotated inside and out, errands, training and just plain fun time... They all would would do as needed as far as intruders including coming over the top of their 6 ft kennels. They are there because they are comfortable and content. I have had no issue with bonding whether they were kept inside or out... depends on the quality of time spent with them...

My boy stays in the house and follows me everywhere.  He sleeps on the floor beside my bed and he gets mad if its any other way.  We have only enjoyed this for about the last 3 months.  Before that he had to sleep in his kennel because he would destroy any and everything.  Now he sticks to his tennis ball.

Indoors, but of course we go out for at least four walks a day, on and off leash. They are family members. They stay by my side when I'm home and sleep in our bedroom at night on their beds.

Option C, Jeep Dog. :) My girl is usually with me, whatever I'm doing. Unless I'm going to be a long time inside somewhere, she rides along. She is crated at night, and on rare occasions when I leave her home.

I currently own 3 dogs and I am raising a puppy.  The puppy is crated at night and when I go out or can't watch her.  I have a doggy door so everyone has access to the yard, garage and house.  Also my one girl can open the back screen door and she actually does prefer to stay out.  I don't do it for bonding persay--I have just always liked my dogs with me.  We have a lot of fun together and they are great entertainment.  I crate all of them when I hav e to put the truck in the garage or get the lawnmower out or when people come to work on something.

inside is the best... my dog is crated at night. its his own little home, his safe zone so to speak.
he comes with me to work everyday, he comes outside with me for a smoke. he everywhere with me.

but my understanding, if u leave a dog outside its more ready to work(police k9)
imagine a dog sleeping in a warm bed, would u want to get out of bed? nooo.
but for a dog sleeping outside its always aware of deers and everything else.. more alert.
so when a officer needs to get up for a call, his k9 is ready to go.

but for me, inside is the best. he knows the house rules, the bonding is good with the family.
and it gets him to all surfaces. plus he likes cartoons :)
