Give him marrow bones to chew for strength and what I did for my rescue pup, I talked them up.
I asked him.... Did he want to be a Labrador or a Shepherd? And told him what a BEE A U TI FUL boy he was. Dang— if he didn't feel so good about himself those ears just popped up and stayed up! And he was floppy at 6 months.... TRUE STORY!

“Give them another month to go up on their own. But don't risk it beyond 4 ½ months. If they are not up by then you should tape them.” That’s a policy of the 30+years breeder I know. She gives 98% guarantee that the ears will stay up if you tape them no later than 4 ½ months. She also says that after 6-8 months - there is nothing you can do for them to help them stand up.
