I always prefer two-syllable names for my dogs, easy to say and hear on a windy training field, not too "far out" as to raise eyebrows or incur wicked jokes.
Chanel is one of my favorites for a female. I also like Cody, Chico for a male.
I'm also careful not to give a pup I plan to keep a name similar to any other dog I have. (not that that's a problem these days...)
