I was ignoring the Pano and making reference to the suggestions that because he is a large breed puppy that he should have limited exercise.
I've had a few with Pano and the specialist told me to let the dog do what he wants; he won't make it better or worse either way, so if he feels like exercising and running around, let him.
Additionally, Pano can cause muscle atrophy from lack of exercise, and when you have muscle atrophy, the joints can become subluxated, then when they start playing again, the joints are in poor shape due to lack of use, and you have an increased risk of injury or even permanent damage to the joint. I have personally seen this happen in a hip w/Pano; the dog favored the leg, muscle atrophy resulted, the dog felt better, and the hip joint was damaged because it was "banging around" loosely in the socket until the muscle built up again. Ortho specialist used OFA xrays to diagnose the Pano...which OFA never mentioned when ruling the dog preliminarily "unilateral HD".
Ok, back on topic of the pretty import boy;-)

Jenni78,
Thank you so much, the best useful reading since long time.
To OP: A very nice big boy you have, enjoy him. I want to add that maybe when that croup builds more muscle the tailset will blend better, just a thought.

I have never confined or restricted exercise on any of my puppies. if they want to run around the 2acres and play all day, so be it. exercise strengthens muscles, ligements and tendons, all of which hold joints together, I would rather have strong muscles and ligements than a pup who has beenc rated, or babied and his muscles/ligements/tendons are soft from lack of use.
free exercise, not forced. I would not push a pup to run or jog until he was done growing.

Just wanted to make a brief update, and a few thanks to those who have posted and sent messages. Your input is sincerely appreciated. The breeder had him on 'purebred', I whole heartedly believe in a raw diet. His pano, since the change in diet, has subsided. He is currently on addiction (http://www.addictionfoods.com/usa/prod_dog_perfect.php), love your pet bakery (http://www.loveyourpetbakery.com/store/raw-wild-elk-dog-cat-food-with-vegetables/), and of course, green lamb tripe. I've been exercising him a little bit more, and he's doing beautifully. No sign of limping, still teething though. Will update with photos a couple months from now when physical progression is visible.

Feed meat and well cooked chicken feet and gristle. Masage the ears with Tabasco for better blood circulation. Expose him to a lot of sunshine for vitamin D
Do not use the dog for breeding.
