There are many good sleeves (arms) out there...I think what's good for one certainly isn't good to someone else...Every helper likes a different feel...Some arms have a more natural feel to them when bringing them around to the bite position...
It also depends on what level of arm are you looking for...Beginning Arm...Itermediate Arm...Trial Arm...or something for special type work...
I personally think the best all around arm is the Belgium Sleeve...I think it has very quick action along with a very good natural bite position...
Once again the best thing for a helper to do is to try different sleeves and see what suits them best...

I believe I know what you are talking about when you say the forearm is kind of tight. Gappay has a slight dip in the bitebar so the dogs can get a better grip. This makes the inside of the sleeve a little more snug though. However, Gappay does make a trial arm that does not have this "dip". It's model 0119. That is what I use as i also found the the standard one to be a bit snug. I used Frabo until I found these. Frabo is a very nice arm though also. I always have it on hand.
here is a link to the gappay site showing the sleeve.

www.hallmarkk9.com carries this sleeve although the picture just shows the standard.

I would agree....especially if you/your helper has a bigger upper arm, fit better: Frabo. One of our dogs just recently broke a 30 year old Frabo, so the quality is there. This dog is also a crusher.

Try the Belgian Arm. Mike Worral sells them. I like the consistancy in manufacturing. I've had several Gappy sleeves and for whatever reason they feel different, with varying bite bar angles. I also like the Ebinger sleeves for quality, consistancy and longevity. Some dogs are just monsters and you will feel the grip through anything short of black pipe wrapped in a towel, lol. In my opinion a dog with this type of grip provided the temperment is there, should go beyond schutzhund and work on the street.
