i also have dharma v jekervallei.  sire is littermate of aceofnike and dam is similar breeding to dam of igor/irco.  so, no, it is not based on the sire alone.  ron, you know i am not that shallow.

The dam is Gora von Huize Dimano. He is 4-5,5 on Fado von Kartago and 5-5 on Gildo vom Korbelbach.  I too agree that the dam is just as important.  That being said, the truth on the matter is that even the greatest bitch can only make so much of an impact on the breed because they can only produce so many puppies. A great dog like Aceofnike produces great dogs with many different bitches. Which means Aceofnike and great stud dogs like him will always have more influence on the breed than any bitch.  And yes I do realize that Aceofnike had a mother and so did all the great studs.  As for the jumping, like I said in my previous post.I don't raise my dogs in a bubble.  We have all seen people do everything right, and still have hip problems. And we have all seen people feed old roy and do everything wrong and their dog have perfect hips.  My feeling is that it is genetics and LUCK.  The veterinarian or breeder that figures out how to wipe out  hip dysplasia will be a hero to us all.   I will try to post his prelims. Hips look great.

Nice male with a VERY strong working pedigree. Best of luck with him.

ron, you know i am not that shallow.....was just being a trouble maker:-) really wanted to know who the dam was...as far as Ace being a great stud...that will be determined in the future...he doesn't have enough progeny available to make that judgement....while I think he's a nice male...to proclaim him a great stud dog....who are you comparing him too?

ron who has work too many Ufo progeny to count:-)

disclaimer: I like Ufo progeny!

You make a good point about progeny Judron55.  But the problem in the U.S.A. is that there is not enough schutzhund clubs or interest here. So many great dogs end up pets. This is a problem we will have for many years to come.  And a problem I don't know how to solve.  We have just as good of dogs here as europe, but how do we prove it. I guess that is the million dollar question.
