thanks for sharing. I don't think crhuerta guy would give a way best looking pup "superior pigment" for free......Nobody is stupid to give a best pup away - especially free. Usually best pups is kept by breeders or sold at high $$$$$$$ amount.

I know he was trying to be nice to you, but nobody is nice enough to give something special away for free......
Like your "Black and Red females" - you paid high $$$$$$ for them, but look at the results, they don't look any better then your large male. It could had happend with crhuerta guy the same thing - that his offer might end up worse.

Sorry crhuerta but it could be true!

Thank you again guys :)

Dear Royal1 you should not bring this topic back,
As regarding crhuerta, my mistake was I blow up on him, if his offer was based on not neutering my boy and in return I get best of the best male pup since he did not wanted me to breed my male.

If you have anymore question for me just PM me, I don't want bring this topic back.

By the way; honest truth, I call him gentle giant, very sweet personality, very calm, but has extreme ball drive.... Very good guard and watch dog.

EDIT: For those who is new, I bought my first male GSD because I really wanted to have a GSD, but he got to big "oversize"
At first I did not understand that he is bigger than the standard size, after I learned he is too big I did not care much I loved him the way he turned out.

Hey Shtal!

I actually was checking out crhuerta show dogs that he has www.kavanaughshepherds.com/dogs_available.htm

And what I discover Mack von Aducht right here www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/pedigree/26523.html

And crhuerta GSD female Catarina vom Christinen Brunnen www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/pedigree/131406.html

Your Giant GSD Male also has Mack von Aducht on your pedigree, so his dog and your dog share the same Male. The only differentness in show quality your male end up oversize.

You really end up with a nice male! and did not took a bait from him!

Edit: I' am sorry crhuerta that I a was a bit hard here, I too believe that their is a standard that we should breed dogs and his dog is oversize. I undestand you were trying to help Shtal so he has a correct size to breed.

That's the general rule, but there are exceptions to that rule... :-) I know a GSD breeder that allowed a friend of mine to come and pick a puppy of his choice for free when he lost his puppy.
I have given away pick of the litter puppies (not GSDs)  to my friends, when I could have made a profit.
And if I ever breed my GSDs, I wouldn't hesitate to give a puppy for free to a very special person.  Obviously that person would have to be a friend as well as an excellent trainer and handler, but I would be proud to have a friend "make it" with a puppy that I gifted them with. I guess I am different than many people. Giving can be rewarding in itself.

Royal1, in my experience, you can sell a whole litter of 10 to people who want the pick....it's all about matching the dog to the right buyer.  My own pick puppies were not at all what my trainer would have picked, but then, I know what my adult dogs were like as puppies and how they turned out, so I'm going for that. HE wants lunatic puppies; thanks but no thanks--I prefer calm. So...everyone can be happy if you place the puppies properly.

I do appreciate honest people here!

Let me share my side of the story:
Last year, I decided to buy a nice quality male GSD; so I found local breeder - and apparently after meeting with the breeder and his wife, I recognize his wife; we used to go to high school together. I was happy to meet the person from the past. Anyway I got a chance to pick a best male puppy from the litter. He even told me this is all the pups from the litter when I was selecting a puppy.

5 months later he admited to me that he hidden 1 pup away from me for his brother, WHAT KIND IS A BULL CRAP IS THAT ??

From that point I no longer trust nobody...........................
