Uber Land

my biggest fear here.

I've also heard tell of people attacking the breeders and stealing their dogs.  its a big thing down here in Texas.  I read one story about an english bulldog breeder,  the people who came to see puppies attacked both her and her daughter, tied them up in a basement,  and they stole 2 litters of pups and all the adult dogs.

another breeder a friend of mine knew had her nose broken  and was almost ran over with people stealing a puppy.  and their were 2 adult women there trying to prevent it.

very serious business people.  never let a stranger come to your home when you are by yourself,  and do not trust a smiling face.  I have talked to other breeders whor efuse to let puppy buyers come to their homes for this reason,  they will only meet in public.

anytime I have people over to my house to view puppies, I always have either both my parents with me or my fiance.  I never meet people alone. I never leave them alone with my dogs, and I always account for my dogs before the people leave.

I hope you get your puppy back.  and if I were you,  I would be planning a road trip with a police escort and a friend who was bigger than me!

oh another idea,

watch the local CL  in this peoples area.  they might have bit off more than they can chew and try to dump such a young pup on someone else.  place ads in the local CL sections too.

CL is a place to get rid of stolen animals quickly.

Just a question, why would you let strangers around 3 week old puppies that have had no shots?  You have an E-mail address and phone number??  Call the police!  At least call animal control and inform them that a 3 week old puppy was stolen and taken from it's mother prematurely.  The fact that the puppy is too young to be weaned should set something off there.  You said he filled out a slip of paper with name address and phone number??  Go over to his freakin' house with the police!!  Personally I would go over to his house without the police, but that's just me.

I agree with Phil Behun. Not a responsible thing to do. Could have lost your whole litter to something brought in by strangers. Big mistake

I know, I took a chance letting them see the litter at 3 weeks old, I usually wait until the litter is 5 1/2 to 6 weeks old, I broke my own rules, and now puppy is paying the price.

Yes I could have lost my whole litter, but no, I lost a puppy, and I'm determined to get him back.

The person that took my pup, thinks he's"Above the Law"  if you know what I mean.
I'm not afraid of him, I just don't want him getting rid of evidence, and that would be disposing of the little guy.

I have over 30 animal control officers keeping a look out, and various cop friends, I will also never stop looking for clues, he may just be within a 50 mile radius from where I live, so I guess patience will have to pay off.

I guess the older you are, the wiser you are, lesson learned,

I almost want to say to them. ok, jokes over, bring him back, you got me,

You said you have his address!!!!  If you show up at the door with the police unannounced, how does he get rid of evidence??  Something just doesn't sound right here,,,maybe I haven't hit myself in the head enough yet,,,,,,today.

"When they were leaving, I had them sign the paper that everyone does, name, address, phone.
They never went over anything in the puppy packet, like the AKC papers, what I'm feeding pup, when does he go to the vet again."

Ya, I'm confused  too.  The 3month old pup was sold registered, was it not?

by Schaferhunden on 29 March 2010 - 21:03

I am still thinking how do you leave total strangers with your litter of 3 week old pups or any pups.

I'm not sure if she left them with the pups, or if she thinks he nabbed one when he went outside to get his leash from the car.
