I can assure you the British Sieger Event will not be run by BAGSDs as it has never been run by BAGSDs. Take a look at your Catalogues over the past 5yrs the only logo's on them are that of the Breed Council and the WUSV. So the British Sieger was and always has been run by all the Clubs who are members of the GSD BC and the the WUSV member clubs. Since the GSD League are both Members of the BC and a WUSV Member Club it is involved as a British Club the BAGSD is only involved via its WUSV membership as they ARE NOT MEMBERS OF THE BREED COUNCIL and as we only need one WUSV Club to be involved we DONT NEED BAGSDS involvement AT ALL !!
This year the British Sieger Event was going ahead with or without KC approval, then the KC decided to give its approval but as would always be the case for any club that signs the undertaking it came WITH STRINGS attached. The majority on the British Sieger Working Party decided NOT TO BE KC PUPPETS by voting for a GSD League Council Member as Event Manager. The best thing that could happen now is for the KC to withdraw its permission to run the event and then take notice of what the majority of us think of their dictatorial, bullying ways when we go ahead and run it anyway !!!
The KC might have got used to kicking a dog while its down over the years but the mistake they made this time was to underestimate TRUE SHEPHERDITES who prove themselves worthy custodians of our wonderful breed by emulating all the attributes of a REAL GERMAN SHEPHERD, loyal companion, versatile, determination, courageous, protective guard and strong, faithful defender of those he loves.  All qualities we are finding sadly lacking in some custodians of our breed clubs.
