Liesjers

1)  Yes, Zamp is still breeding.  My friend/breeder has a litter of Zamp puppies, they are about 3 months old.
2)  Not sure, depends on the breeder and what they charge, whether they know you, etc
3)  For me it is no different than raising any other dog, other than some additional show supplies and the cost for show entries and a handler.  I show in UKC and show my dog myself (no pro handling is allowed).  For SV type shows, a friend handled him for his first several shows and did not charge since she just started handling.  For the USA Sieger Show last spring, his handler cost $100.  For any other show where I pay a handler from another team, they charge the entry fee (plus I tip).  The only additional supplies I needed for showing were a Fursaver for the SV shows and I use a thin collar/lead combo for my UKC shows.  For grooming all I do is bathe and blow dry my dog the night before, trim his nails, clean his ears, and brush him out good.  I do all of this myself.  Oh and there's also some additional costs for paperwork like getting the pedigree certified by the WDA, being members of the WDA and USA, registering the dog with these orgs (as well as the AKC and the UKC).

Now if you are talking about buying a dog, shipping it somewhere else, and having someone else professionally train and handle it being heavily campaigned in the show ring....can't help you there!

I try not to think of what it has cost or what it will cost in the future, it will just make me ill. I just think it the best thing i have ever done, and you cant put a price on that.

I certainly do not  have a problem with anyone having dreams. But when those dreams become fictisious tales and outright lies that is completely different. If you would do as much homework on posters as you do with your " other" threads maybe you would learn something. If you do not mind being taken for a fool by a child then that's fine, i will call it every time i see him  telling outright lies.  Of course that's something you are a master at yourself  so it is understandable you will defend his lies. It is a pet hate of mine, sorry!!!!!  I can't wait to see the photo's and pedigree of this puppy, hope it is not like Jain, who has now been removed from the database, why don't you ask him why Jain was removed, you will just love it!!!!!!!

A PUP BOUGHT FROM EVEN THE BEST LINES CAN NOT BE GUARANTEED TO BE A WINNER IN THE SHOW RING AS MANY OF US KNOW  THE BEST THING TO DO IS BUY WHAT YOU CAN AFFORD AND HOPEFULLY BREED YOUR OWN AS FOR COST IN RAISING AND TRAINING  HOW LONG IS A PIECE OF STRING.YOUNG MAN YOU SHOULD FIND THE NEAREST GSD BREEDER IN YOUR AREA AND GO AND HELP THEM WITH THERE DOGS AND GET SOME HANDS ON EXPERIENCE THAT CANNOT BE GAINED FROM A COMPUTER I WISH A YOUNG PERSON WHO WAS AS KEEN AS YOU LIVED NEAR ME

I agree about the keen youngsters. Over the years we have had quite a few here helping and gaining hands on knowledge. Some have went on in the GSD world some have not, but everyone of them were HONEST AND TRUST WORTHY, something i must have from anyone involved with my dogs. Oh! and they also must be GENUINE!!
