You do realise there is a double edged sword to this, don’t you? If the KC fail in their endeavours, you can guarantee there will be others in the running to oversee pedigree dog breeding in this country. Have a think about who that could be!!! The anti-show brigade would be more than happy to see showing condemned to a thing of the past… most breeds know this already…

Mark 3: This is no doubt a rumour built up and likely being spread by some Kennel Club members, and ALL breeds judges. The very suggestion is fundamentally flawed, similar to the KC ABS scheme.
Any organisation to oversee dog breeding would need to rely on the Breed Clubs, simply because their support is KEY to any workable solution.
Such negative innuendo and insinuation is clearly designed to keep the masses in check, playing on the general naivete level of many within the pedigree dog world, here within the UK.
There is a whole bunch of people within dogdom, especially those all rounder judges who routinely judge around the world, almost making a full time career of it, going from one junket to another junket almost continuously, and when they are here in the UK, probably spend most of their time at Clarges Street enjoying the excellent hospitality of a very fine restaurant and bar in their private members club, in the finest part of the West End of London., whilst looking for future opportunities. They are trying to protect the "GRAVY TRAIN" they are currently riding on, and enjoying so much.

Ah ha……..oh I think there is a lot more than just Clarges street and all rounders currently riding on the 'gravy train'.

yet another unsubstantiated "insinuation" - I look forward to reading official comments from and on behalf of the Kennel Club.
Until then I will totally ignore innuendo and insinuation, and I would respectfully recommend others to do likewise.
I would also point out that even official comments or decisions emanating from the Kennel Club can be challenged in so many ways, both here in the UK and if necessary in Europe. The Apgaw inquiry report offers considerable and powerful support for such challenges.
