Papers can be slow but communicating should be easy.

Do you have a purchase agreement or Bill of Sale with this person?

And to answer your question....yes...."breeders" (albeit dishonest ones) can and do show people fake pedigrees all the time. 

ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT AN   AKC  SHOW WINNER  OR A   German Schutzhund trial person that is a breeder...AKC has some flaky winners who are very well known for  hiding facts and dying dogs and all kinds of phatom deals.....

Can you name who this breeder is????>>>maybe someone here can help get your paperwork;

It is an AKC show winner.  Since I first posted, he has e-mailed me.  (Maybe he checks this forum)  He said he had been in the hospital with serious health problems and that was why he didn't respond to me or send papers.  Now I am in the position of being a heartless jerk if I rat him out OR a huge sucker, again.  How should I know which?  He is also selling all of his other dogs because of that and wondered if I knew anyone who would want them. 

What a mess.  He said he is still going to send those papers (not holding breath).  He is either a fabulous con man or really, truly sick.  I hope for his family's sake it's just that he's lying because he's in his early 30's with young kids.
