I did! Thank you for posting the picture. He has a BEAUTIFUL male head! I wish his hair was darker around the eyes! He would be perfect to me! The working part is the icing on the cake!

Raccoon eyes come from wolf just like the glossy "V" spot on a tail of every GSD.
It makes the animal look bigger especially at night. Big eyes = big dog. Thus the purpose is deterrent effect.
Here I have found some cool pictures of a wolf with raccoon eyes.

Right away... A NEGATIVE!!!! I did NOT mean it as such! By the way.. that one wolf picture is NOT PRETTY! If a dog looked like that to the GENERAL PUBLIC, it would be called mean and vicious, probably reported and put down!

The JUST K9's dog and offspring is great!

Show me a WORKING DOG that is nice to look at too!

Here are a couple more pictures of Rookie and Sport.

Kalibeck, the kissy-lips would fit Rookie, he is a love bug. He is a big goof ball and loves to jump up without touching me with his feet and lick my face.

Dawn, If you saw him in person I think you would see past the raccoon eyes. His coloring is so stunning. IMO.. He is also a very gentle daddy dog. He loves his puppies, or any puppy actually. He amazes me on how gentle he can be.

Hans, I LOVE the wolf pictures. Those are awesome.

The big guy looks like a loving boy, that can talk to your soul with his eyes! You can see it in his eyes! AND the way he interracts with little guy! His eyes are not that racooney! I actually like his look! He is a BEAUTIFUL DARK Sable! The baby looks just like him! I love his big head!

Hi Dawn and all,

I originally asked Dawn what she meant regarding raccoon eyes and she asked people to post some pictures.

I have never heard that term used to describe gorgeous dogs like these before.

Maybe wolf eyes is a better term.

I always thought raccoons had masks. lol

Bonome- Unfortunately for some folks just the mere look of a GSD is SCARY stuff and deemed "worthy" of calls to animal control... 'just sayin'... :(
