It was 178 lbs dressed and 6' 3" from nose to tail. My husband got him on opening day and he wasn't even in camo and didn't have his fire arm w/him. He and his buddy were checking out their site and his buddy was in the tree and my hubby was on ground. He ran to his truck and came back and BAM! That was the first bear he ever got. I cooked some bear steaks & tenderloins & a roast. I thought it was pretty good but he didn't like it so no more bear hunting. Oh, he shot it in Bristol, NH on my Moms land up in the woods from her back yard. Since then she's had bears down on her porch raiding her bird feeders.
