I've always found that given enough time a good name will just come to you and you'll know it's right.
Don't try too hard and it will happen.

a name that fits could be a challenge, however in my opinion...it's better to give a male a name with a rather strong"O" behind it(asko, brando, viggo, brunno, tasso, erko, rosso, ect. males tend to contract "selective amnesia" and "random loss of hearing from time to time..the strong vowel at the end gets their attention)) i would caution you to pick a "non-threating" name to be a little more politically correct in today's climate of "fear of dogs"...people get intimidated by "macho sounding names"....and what if the pup can't live up to that "GREAT NAME" that you plaster him with at such a young age,you said you didn't want to use a "common name"...well a common name would be my choice !!! THE NAME DOESN'T MAKE THE DOG,THE DOG MAKES THE NAME !!!!!! the name you stated in your post "ZEUS'S MURPHY SHADOW" ...not liking that at all !!! actually,i'd rather call the dog"MURF"...what you chose seems more like one of those rediculas names that they usually saddle the "american line dogs with..not trying to be harsh....but give it some more thought !!!!!

I selected Sky while roaming the internet.
I felt it was the right name for the dog. Although Sky has a macho character but I didn't feel comfortable giving him a macho name. First, all macho names are very common and used everywhere, and secondly I wanted to give him a name that I FELT it fits him.
Good luck and give yourself time!
