I had two dogs with these symptoms and they both had erlichia (a tick disease). Antibiotics cleared up the symptoms within two weeks. But they had to stay on the antibiotics much longer than that.

Just an update,
I spoke to his treating vet yesterday and Costa has had him MRI and at 6 pm last night they were still awaiting results.
His vet also said that it was possible that the CFS tap may have aggravated his condition and that Costa still has Deep Pain response
Apparently at first they were checking for some type of worm that migrates to the spinal column and causes paralysis but the test for that was negative. Can't remember the name of that sorry. He also had a Mylogram.
I will update when I have more news.

I am glad to see there is deep pain and also the MRI was done. It has shown to be a great tool. :)

I have some very sad news, Costa was PTS yesterday. Unfortunately his MRI revealed that he had several bulging discs one that required imediate surgery and others that would require surgery at a later date.
At this time his owner has no idea as to what Costa could have done to have caused such trauma to his spine.
As a breeder Costa is my first loss and I feel so sad for his owners.
RIP young man.

I am soo sorry for the loss.
I lost my 4 month old boy Tues night. held him in my arms sitting on the bathroom floor as he took his last breath. I had him at the vets early Tues morning due to vomiting and diareah, thought it was parvo. vet said parvo test was negative but did see some giardia. she gave him a shot for it and told me some dogs have nuerological issues with the shot (told me this AFTER giving my baby the injection), not 12 hours later he was gone. I've done nothing but cry and blame myself.

I am so sorry for your loss Uber Land.
How negligent of her. She should have given you that information before giving your puppy an injection that could be more dangerous than the disease.
First do no harm - treat simply first, if that fails then go to other options.
Hugs to you.

Oh no, I got such a sick feeling when reading your post. I'm so terribly sorry, I know how it feels. Please pass condolences to the family, such a tragedy.

I am so sorry for all of your losses :(((. Please do not feel guilty, I cannot explain why these things happen but they do. I know this might not help but a bad disc could happen without trauma and Uber puppy it might have not been the injection, there are some serious viruses going around. Again I am so sorry I do not know what else to say but we will hold your shoulders up for awhile.
Always,
Cee

Uber, I didn't see your post yesterday, I'm so terribly sorry. A sudden loss is the hardest to understand and come to terms with. I wish you good memories of the times you had together.
