Keith thank you for the link on the first page. I'm still not through reading everything over there--once I start I can't quit.
JMO but I think we need way less regulations and a lot more education.

Animal Liberation WorldwideShut Down Puppy Mills in the USA
Large-scale commercial dog breeding houses, better known as “puppy mills,” are notorious for negligent treatment of the dogs they breed. The mills often sell their dogs to pet shops or directly to the public via the internet or newspaper ads. Due to the big-business philosophy of these operations, animals suffer in substandard conditions while profit is made the top priority.
Disease runs rampant in puppy mills due to the lack of accurate medical and lineage records and the failure to remove ill animals from the breeding grounds. Veterinary care is usually inadequate and the conditions are often overcrowded and unsanitary. Many puppies are brought home with deadly parvoviruses, intestinal parasites, pneumonia, and other illnesses.

What did you learn from that guy, Nathan, Voniisk? All I could figure out is, he says he could manage a No Kill Shelter better than anyone else.

I would have to agree with Hans. America is a land of extremes and history has shown that extremists do a lot of damage when they gain control. There are special interest groups in this country (America) like PETA or ASPCA who lobby and want laws passed that would place animal rights above basic human rights like the right to own property, contrary to the constitution. These zealots confiscate animals, especially from small breeders and then sell the animals and profit from it.
