But sucess in competitions hasn´t so much to do with how a dog produce, so in that regard it´s not so intressting to see how much a dog has done on the trialfield, even if some sucessfull competitiondogs have produced nice, but the real question is if they are any better than many other less known dogs as producers.

by Gustav on 20 December 2010 - 13:12

Trial results and excellent training will not pass genetically....not to say that a top competition dog can't be a good producer, like Asko vom Lutter.

by bgstout on 20 December 2010 - 14:12

Some studs that have only made it to the LGA have produced BSP winners.

Folks it,s all subjective to what you like and prefer. For example Asko was mentioned and I know of a large breeder of GSD that won,t even have Asko in the pedigree if all possible. To quote him at his own seminar " Asko von Delutter is a made dog and gutlas" so it,s all subjective.

I,ll breed to what I like and the distance is a 2nd thought.

What WL stud is producing police service K9?

same ones that are producing the Sch folks are using! Most wouldn'tknow about breeding and stud dogs anyway:-)
