I don't think so. Not only is there subluxation, there are also other signalments that none of these dogs would be expected to have normal hips at maturity.

i doubt they will improve only get worst.

Sorry Honey, I know this is not what yo want to hear, but after having our share of bad luck with hip xrays this week, I don't think these hips will get any better.  Probably will only get worse with age.

These are Zambi's Hip X-rays that was sent to OFA to be examined. The results came back normal.

I do not think for a moment that hips from your dog, jbbrbx, will come back as good, especially the left hip. I'm no expert but left hip IMO is considered severe HD.

Brittany, Do you really think those hips are normal? I am not trying to be sarcastic, but Looks to me like there is some flattening of the head going on.  Also I was not aware that OFA had an evaluation rating of normal?  JMO, but these hips do not look normal to me.  I am by no means claiming to be an expert on reading xrays, but I just expressed my unexpertise opinion.

No 3 is already showing signs of remodelling of the left femur and it is almost out of the socket which is also showing signs of remodelling and no 2 has rather shallow sockets.  They may tighten up, but probably not before the heads of the femurs have remodelled to compensate.  Still, they are young, I guess you will have to wait and see if they are a problem or not.

There is nothing wrong with Zambi's hips. That flat spot is normal, it's where the ligament that holds the hip in the socket attaches. The  positioning is not symetrical or you would see the same area on both hips.

I do not agree that the flat spot is normal on Zambi's film. Although I do think that the hips would pass with at least a fair, the heads should be round with no flat spots. Unfortunately you don't see that alot in this breed(normal round heads)
