Lennard

A  "professional dog man" leaving 2 dogs in a car for 7HOURS!!,no windows open!! and "forgot they were there" on what turned out to be the hottest day of the year.
Whatever happened to distract or delay Mark Johnson those dogs should have been his first concern!!
I am afraid I cannot find words that would be acceptable on here to say.
Absolutely disgusted and disappointed in our legal system, with the result of this case, and not even banned from ever keeping dogs again!!!!!
I listened to the graphic report of how long the dogs were left in the car and the "reasons"they were not kenneled I was reduced to unashamed tears.

I totally agree with Skippy!  ... and the cops wonder why they don't get offered so many dogs these days!  There was the Essex fiasco and now this!  Shame on our police!

Skippy, I think everyone would agree with you're post, I  believe the week before a security guard was done for the same thing and got 12 weeks in jail. So how does a police officer get a conditional discharge. Bill Owen.

Bill it was not so long ago you were asking for everyone to remember about this Police officer and this awful deed and how he must feel. I said then that he was a Professional Dog Handler and hence the call for the maximum penalty.  He took 3 dogs to work with him that day and took one out of the car and put it in the kennels. He claims that the 2 GSD's were alarmed at being put into kennels! What a joke.  His normal routine was to put the 2 GSD's into an airconditioned car whilst he went inside. Bill you know more about cars than most - the air condtioning does not work when the car is not running.
He claims that the Police Complaints Commission were looking at his work and he felt they were hounding him (excuse the pun) as there had been numerous complaints about him! May be some were incorrect but no smoke without fire! He should be prosecuted the same as anyone else and thrown out of the Police force and banned from keeping any animal for life.  If there were so many complaints about him I would dare to suggest that he was in the wrong job.
Whilst the RSPCA can not prosecute him they simply bring him to trial and await the outcome from the Judge, they can infulence the Judge. So why has he been let off???? As Skippy says our legal system is a total joke. As a Police Officer you are perfect! Yeh right.

Another instance where it's one rule for them and another rule for joe public.
What planet is the judge on saying Johnson had been "let down" by his force,w.t.f. has that got to do with the fact he allowed 2 dogs to die in agony?
Some bullshit story about depression etc. and the liberal dogooders let you off scot free,no doubt in a few months time when it's all blown over he will be back in the fold as if nothing's happened.
He should have been given a lifetime ban from keeping any type of animal, booted out the force,10 years hard labour on a chain gang and be beaten and tortured every day of his incarceration.
The loathing I feel for this piece of human excrement knows no depths.

He left the dogs for 7 hours !!!   How the hell do you forget something for 7 hours !!!    Depression?   I`d like to depress him, and it was never mentioned, this so called depression until the court case was heard !!
Another interesting fact is that on our local news it was said that he had paperwork to do, he had to answer to the fact that he was in trouble internally with his job, and the last thing he had to deal with was a missing person !!!    all this from a depressed man - then they put him to deal with a missing person ? - he apparently went in to work on his day off on his day off according to the news reports when it first happened.
I`m just glad his wife didnt let him go out with his kids.

Let him never forget that to cook from the inside of their little bodies is what he put those two dogs through.  A slow, painful death unable to be seen or heard for 7 hours struggling.

He should
