Anyone know when the requirements will be listed for entering? I thought I read on here (From Gayle Kirkwood if I remember), that there was going to be a WDA board meeting this month and one of the things on the table for dicussion was membership requirements for the Sieger Show.
I bet this will be a very large show. The grounds are very nice.

Gayle,

it looks like the board was busy this past weekend. I don't know if there's a catch 22, hopefully not, maybe just a clairification is needed. A member in good standing is defined in the bylaws:

Section 11. Good Standing. A member in good standing is one whose dues are paid, and who is not under suspension by this Club, the GSDCA or the American Kennel Club.

The entry requirements posted above refer to ''any person" in para. 10.

10. Any person who is not in good standing with the GSDCA‐WDA may not participate in Breed Shows.

Since one co owner has to be a member, in good standing I presume, does the other owner fall into the "any person" catagory? If so, chances are many co owners have not paid dues and would not be members in good standing as defined by the bylaws, Section 11.

#10 above as written requires all participants to be GSDCA-WDA members unless "any person" really means 'any member'. Can we get an interpretation?

Does the handler have to be a member of WDA to show the dog?

Gayle, appreciate the job you do. Really feel like the WDA is in good hands. You probably don't remember me, I introduced myself to you in Ky. Did not get the impression that you are the kind of person to roll over for anybody.

Hope you continue in leading the WDA into the future.

Best,
Rik
