I'm totally out of the loop now with AKC shows. Try contacting Sandy Anderson from Woodside Kennels in BC. She only uses the top handlers and is currently active. Might be worth a shot.

Donna was involved with Robert Scholes of Nordlicht kennels infamy which let to the inception of AKC's DNA testing program.
Yes , Rik is correct about those AKC handling fees. The entry fee equivalent to the class entry fee at German style shows is the only reason I have been able to afford showing at a German shows. In AKC shows, I spent far more thatn it would cost to have German dog trained/titled. At least at German shows, we can get a V rating and a good critique from an SV judge.
