A 14yo dog could show hip or elbow degeneration simply due to aging and its concomitant effects. You could take a lot of OFA Good/Excellent  dogs who are 14 and get failing x-rays on them at that age.

look up seedless boys recipe and collect him everyother day on the ground and about a month take him in and check him again, but i hope you have had his hips checked before you begin this adventure. it just takes a drop of good sperm with an activator to do an AI so its possiable, but make sure he is breed worthy

It is possible to have an older male go back into production after a break in breeding. I've been tracking sperm production in two males for about two years and have a formula and technique that has an 8 and 9 year old male producing better than they did at 4 years old. I'm able to consistently provide over a billion sperm. The same formula works for younger males too. The last collection was the best collection my vet has ever seen.

@sistamom, what's the likely hood that even a dog that recieved an excellent hip evaluatuation at 2 years old would still get a good evaluation at 14 years old.

TO THE PO:

Could you post the pedigree of the male you want to  reproduce.???  WIll your vet even do an AI?

The answer to increasing the sperm in the 14yr old SHEPHERD is  probably not..Wasting your money .

That answers the question  and of course, my suggestion is to go buy a pup from a reputable breeder of BLACK/RED  gsd.

If you must have a WHITE SHEPHERD< there are some who do title them in NEW JERSEY and CAROLINA>.CHECK the back of the  DOG FANCY Magazine for these kennels.  > BE sure the hips are ofa and the pup is VET CHECKED and has a  health certificate before you pay for it.

Clone him, or maybe give him a couple of pops of Viagra...that should do the trick.

No where did the OP give pedigree information.  There is nothing to link this dog to the discussion at hand.

Stay on topic please.
