I am so sorry.  You probably don't even know what hit you.

I remember the story about the gardener, and the need to fire him.  There's no chance that  foul play (poison) could be part of this picture.....is there, klekoni?  I don't like bringing the subject up.........but you do have another dog and are only speculating as to cause of death.

Anyway...again...I am terribly sorry for your pain.

I am so sorry for you. It is hard enough when they are getting old and you can see it coming but always worse when it happens so unexpected.

klekoni, nothing will console you now, I`m afraid. Only time will reduce your sorrow.

Without autopsy you can`t say for sure what the true reason of the accident was.

Take care of the dogs beside you. Spend time with them, go for walks. They are always true friends. I think dogs usually KNOW what happened. If only they could tell us. But they can support you. Trust them.

Klekoni,

sorry for your loss. It is hard I know. It happened to me twice, both males. One was imported at 8 weeks and one came over with his litter sister at 16 weeks. Barney was found dead in the kennel and Grando was still breathing but he was unresponsive and died within 10 minutes. Of course, there were like one and a half years in between these two incidents. There was nothing we could have done. And yes, my guess is also that it is a heart defect. I wonder if males are more prone to it than females.

so sorry for your loss. no personal experience with this myself, however i had a friend who lost her adorable little cocker spaniel because of a heart defect. she found out later that the entire litter died that way. if you ever need anyone to talk to about your grief, the petloss family will welcome you and grieve with you in the chat at www.petloss.com i go there often since losing my beloved lab/gsd/husky to cancer two years ago.

I am so sorry for your loss. It's tough to lose them anytime but when they are young & by all appearences totally healthy, it's so much worse. You have my condolences. ~Krystin
