I just got a Malinois after wanting and carefull consideration of which dog I wanted.
Puppy has parents from Belgium.

How much/times a day should i feed her?
Currently shes eating 12 oz twice a day.

What sites books and videos are good to research?
I ordered: Schutzhund: Theory and Training Methods, and The Art of Raising a Puppy. books.

How can I get her into Schutzhund?
I am new to Schutzhund myself.
I am more so interested in majoring in protection work with a minor in narcotics/tracking. :)

Are dog vitamins a lot different from human vitamins?
I would think pure fish oil (omega 6) is the same exact thing...possibly just a different upper limit.

Any ideas on where or if i should get second hand gear?

Thank you!

Join a Schutzhund club.Remember you will have to put equal emphasis on all three phases of the sport if you are serious about it. There is no such thing as "majoring" in protection.Good luck.

Yes I agree with the previous comment, most Schutzhund clubs will not allow you to do more of one thing than another. You will have to locate your country Schutzhund Club and narrow it down to where you live and join that club.
As far as feeding at this age 3-4 times a day, as baby gets older you can decrease to twice a day.
When you find a local club to join they will be able to give you info on your other questions. Hope it is helpful. The only thing I would have done before you got the pup was find the club first. They would have been helpful on bloodlines and such. Clubs are sometimes hard to find depending on where you live.

Where are you located?  Most clubs are more GSD oriented than they are Malinois oriented so chances are, they wouldn't know much about your bloodlines.  Since as you say, your dog is of Belgian blood, can we "assume" that the dog has mostly NVBK in it's background?  The best thing for you to do is (depending on the availability of course), visit clubs as a spectator and just watch and ask some questions.  Any club that is not willing to field questions from a prospective member isn't worth much IMO.  One of the major points, again IMO, is to not only find a club that you are comfortable with but most importantly, find a club that your dog is comfortable with.  Finding someone that likes our breed and can and will work with our breed isn't quite so easy.  Many clubs end up trying to work the Malinois the same way that the GSD's are worked and that's just not the case.  Find someone that likes to work with your dog and who CAN work your dog.  If you are getting good work with your dog but YOU don't necessarily get along with them,,,,,,,swallow your pride and be satisfied that you are getting good work.  Let us know where you are and what blood you have in your dog, always interested in what is working and why.
