Anyone know whats going on with the nationals? I know entries are already open and they have no info on the trial website. Considering where it is being held I guess it should be no surprise.....

A suspcious person might think that with opposition candidates for the President and Vice President that they were trying to discourage a large turn out and just have the locals voting?  Of course I'm sure there's a perfectly good explanation.

You ever going to get back to Colorado for any training?

The Helpers and the Judges have to be approved by the Helper Comm and the Judges Comm.   Once that is done, it has to go to the EB for approval.   Then, it can be posted.  I went back and looked at the USCA web-site and prior events.

So, question should be to the two committees on when the list will be provided for the votes from the EB.

Well ..................... hear this !     The host hotel does not have a meeting room so the general meeting on Thursday must be held some where else other than the hosting hotel ................................     as the comedian Bill Engvall says "There's your sign"  !

In fairness, there have been several times that the GBM (General Board Meeting) has NOT been held at the host hotel and it went well.  So, that's really not an issue.  I refer to the second Reno nationals, in which the GBM was held in a meeting room at the venue, not the host hotel.  Also, Iowa in 2009, where the GBM was held in a meeting room at the stadium, not the host hotel.    Both nationals  ( 2002[?] and 2006) in Alabama had GBMs held at a community center, not the host hotel.     I would not take that as a sign of anything, other than the simple fact that the GBM will not be held at the host hotel...and may actually be held somewhere better, as in at the venue.   That would eliminate all those competitor/delegates who don't show up for the meeting, because they all have to be at practice...apparently at the same time.  Teeth Smile

The venue for the GBM is now posted on the event website.  It is the Loveless Barn, just outside of Nashville, per the notice.  It looks (to one not a resident of the area) to be a ways from both the host hotel and the stadium venue.
