| German Shepherd Dog | V Palme vom Wildsteiger Land SCHH2 | All one has to do is to go to Perle's pedigree, the VA1 sister and see how few she produced vs. Palme, who was not only passed up in the show circuit but fortunately whomever owned her, knew what he had, presumably the WildSteiger Land kennel, as most of her progeny carries that name http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/dog.html?id=116&p=progeny The famous Q litter of Arminius and then the U litter of vom WildSteiger Land were her great contributions producing the famous super producing males VA Quando von Arminius and VA1 Uran vom Wildsteiger Land. Moreso when it comes to genetic stamping i looked at the Dam (Xalome) of my male, Cole, and said "geese she looks just like Palme Wildsteiger Land" and put the 2 pics next to each other and the resemblance is uncanny. Now, of course, Palme is in Cole's pedigree, six generations back! This is not the type the judges seek nowadays for the female VA's, which is their loss & therefor, our loss. Palme is one sleek momma, build for speed and agility which is what a great GS should be. And to all the working line people no offense, i'm sure there is an equivalent female as known as Palme in your lines, you just can't have Palme ;) she is ours ;) .... | 13.1 years ago |

His greatness will be passed on through his Swedish Best of Breed, Best in Show son, Space Tobini and his Russian Champion daughter Avangard Glace. He also has progeny in many more countries, outside the usa, including Argentina, the Philipines, the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland. He has joined the historic rankings of the cream of the crop of the German Shepherds, the VA ranks in Argentina and Sweden. | German Shepherd Dog | V Stella vom Trompetersprung SCHH2 | November, to the attention of people who own pups out of V19 bszs Stella vom Trompetersprung who likely purchased pups from precision shepherds of Ontario, Canada. Stella was diagnosed with not only spondylosis upon her arrival here, but after the DM test became available she tested AT RISK for Degenerative Myelopathy. She has severe signs of DM and will likely not make it past the age of 8 and some months. I believe this was genetically passed to her via her mother VA Oduscha vd Wienerau who was put to sleep also at an early age and her then owner would not reveal to me what it was she died of. (Christian Ziegler) I highly recommend that those who own offspring of Oduscha or Stella that you test them for DM before considering putting them in a breeding program. | German Shepherd Dog | V Falco vom Klebinger Schloß SCHH3 | After a successful show career in Europe Falco changed hands too often as too many top ranking male dogs do. He clearly should have gone VA but was in the wrong hands at the time. He was rescued by me from the same breeder as where his son Castar vom Venushof unnecessarily died just weeks before the court approved rescue mission on September 5th 06. He had a great year and a half of always being with some pretty GSD Senoritas, walking and living the good life in a very natural setting and proving what a great German Shepherd dog he was. I was shocked when on December 19th 07 he suddenly couldn't lift his back end any longer after having done so well up until December 18th! Degenerative Myelopathy took his dignity and I was facing the same heart wrenching decision and let him cross the Rainbow Bridge. He did not have to live without dignity or in fear as dogs in such a situation face. He still looked so incredibly good, so clear in the head and so very interested in the girls ;) He was fully checked out, with no heart murmur, no enlarged prostate, no blood in his stool, and normal temperature. All was so well for a dog his age! DM is a night mare, I wish more research was done on it! Many people loved this great dog and he will be in my heart forever. He was 10 and 1/2 years old and I'm very grateful to have had him in my life. .... | 16.3 years ago |
