Check out these solar panels at this newly remodeled Mobil Gas Station. The first I've ever seen. I would not be surprised if an electric charge station is next, what do you think?

I think that's cool. I've been wondering how they were going to set up something to recharge the hybrid cars. Also have been wondering how it would be charged-money wise--etc etc.

By the minute with the swipe of a card. My idea for battery cars is to have a rack with batteries at the exchange station. An attendant would lift your expended batteries out and put recharged ones in. You pay a full battery fee, and a deposit like with propane tanks. It would be simple and time efficient. I figure a rotating rack, where the battery slides in and starts charging immediately.

I like that and it sounds perfectly logical. You should try to sell that idea. We can say we knew you when when you are all rich and famous..........

I just had a conversation with someone whose job is to know these type of things. If was discouraging to here him say the push to show meaningful change will begin in China. That will be the future, unless out govt' backs off, and lets the private sector take over. As it stands now, it will be another generation before a true energy shift happens, and that is if you transcribe to the theory that as China becomes more like the USA, its people will demand more of their share, and that will be the key to break their cheap labor that is killing American manufacturing and the working middle class.
A vicious cycle it seems, that I am not sure if I will accept as absolute. Even though I asked if he could back this up with research. And he said yes, the private sector is not backing solar energy, not while it is in the hands of the government calling all the shots.
