Chicagoland/MIlwaukee area PDB users - Page 1

I wasn't going to post this here, but a sport friend called me this morning and encouraged me to reach out to the GSD community, so what the hell, why not.

PDB friends, I'm in my 30s. I've never seen the ocean or even taken a trip that was not for a Sieger show or camping. Extra funds go into my dogs and I have yet to travel to any of the places I'd love to see. My husband is deploying in two weeks and I have a long, tough year ahead of me. He's going to miss the birth of his first child.

Now that I've gotten the sob story out of the way.

5 weeks ago I entered a local karaoke contest. I've made it up to the top 3 singers, and grand prize is a trip to Hawaii. I would love nothing more than to take my daughter, who some of you have seen handle at local events or know her from training. I think you can agree that she is a pretty damn cool kid and it would be an amazing experience for her, too.

The winner is determined by audience votes, so I need as many people as I can muster to show up at this little bar in Round Lake, IL this Friday night and vote for me after the competitors have finished their three rounds of songs. The bar is called AJs (on Washington St) and the competition starts at 10pm.

Last week the voting was extremely close, three of us were only one vote apart- and the lowest of the three was one of my very best friends, who was eliminated from the competition, so each and every person that comes out counts.

So if you have nothing to do this Friday night and want to show some love to a fellow dog person, military family, the 99%, whatever you want to call me, come on out. I can't offer you much in the way of thanks except for my heartfelt gratitude, and maybe some free handling from my daughter. I think she's pretty talented.
