PIRATE, as a Canadian, you might like this quote from the movie SLAPSHOT, when the team owner was explaining to reggie dunlop (Paul Newman), that she doesn't let her child play with guns, watch violence on tv or go to a hockey game. Reggie said, "You're fcuked!" ......"Your son's gonna wind up ********************before he can say Jackie Robinson." Although I agree to an extent, it's all about the parents. More people kill in the cities where children never touch a game control. Back in the day, it was simply aging with plastic guns and listening to Elvis.

Chaz- you might want to read the entire article. Back in the day we did not have video games as explicit as they are today, blood spurting out of heads, arms blown off etc.

And, back in the day most kids had stay at home Mom's instead of daycare. I think a lot of parents allow their children to play video games for hours as a way of keeping them (parents) from spending time with their children.

If the military uses video games to teach soldiers how to kill more efficiently how can anyone justify allowing children to play violent video games for hours?

You really think video games is where our children learn of violence?
No, they learn it from our own actions.
What's wrong in a world where kids spend their time playing video games?
When you figure that out you will know the answer.

Thank you Red Sable,
What ever happened to the real world?
It's still there if only the lights would go out we might actually see it.

Video games like Super Mario and such are fine for 15 or twenty minutes a day, video games that promote killing and violence are not. Shake your head people.

If you think that it is okay for young children to play violent War Games for 4-5 hours a day then okay, we can agree to disagree.

I'm not saying violent video games are solely to blame, but they do create the illusion that killing is just a game.
