| German Shepherd Dog | V Chuligan z Pohranicni straze ZVV1 | Chuligan z PS (Pronounce Hooligan) is a legend amongst z Pohranicni straze foundation dogs. If you have him in the pedigree he will bring his toughness, presence , large bone, great hips and elbows. If really closely linebred he may produce missing teeth. It is a rare occurrence but it is there. I have seen it 2 or 3 times. There may be more but keep in mind that Chuligan produced hundreds of dogs. 3-4 linebreeding should be no problem as far as missing teeth goes. Please keep in mind that the only perfect dog without faults is a dog on whom you do not have enough data. I personally would give my right arm for a dog who would produce consistently dogs like Chuligan. Chuligan was a Mr. GSD. I consider him one of 5 best foundation dogs I have personally known. If you look for as close to perfect Czech dog as you can than Chuligan is there right with Titus and Norbo Ben Ju and some others. .... | 13.5 years ago |

| German Shepherd Dog | Boogie z AlpineK9 PP DOG | Evaluation of the dog. (for the sake of the breed) Boogie is civil dog ( not for SchH) . I have 3 more of his brothers of similar temperament. These are serious PP ( personal protection) dogs. Neutral in crowd but real protector when situatil requires it. Booge is a dog which I had from a pup. He is sociable and good with friends. Boogie is trained to bite for real and not to targe only a on an equipment. He will bite any equipment, but will let go and bite for real if he has a chance. He will not take stupidly stick hits like a sport dog but will attack the arm with the stick. Many people who are training for sport do not understand this and will dis him for it by saying that he is scared to stay on the equipment. That is not the truth since if he would be scared he would run away or circle, but he will not do that. He will bite directly again and immediately. I personally think it is stupid to teach dog to withstand stick hits and get injured or worse. That is his training. This dog will protect for real and that is what I had on my mind when I have train him. He will swith and alert on alert command immediatelly. Will bite sleeve, body suite, hidden sleeve, and for real. I have 3 of his brothers who are generally even more serious and less sociable. Boogie is a nice friendly dog until the command is given or intruder threatens him or his territory. The only thing with Boogie is that I was his only handler and thus it will take him 4-6 weeks whichis little longer then average to transfer to new owner. If the transfer is done properly I would say it will take about 4-6 weeks where transfers may normally take from 2 - 16 weeks. Boogie has obedience on leash sit down stay come heel motivation is prey toy. Boogie has high prey drive and will retrieve and search but likes to keep away. Thus I am using 2 toys for that. I have taken him into St Josephs hospital where I am training security dogs and he had no problem with that situation. Slippery floors, stairs, elevators, crowds of people. He is used to gun fire. 45 cal Colt blank and 38 spl live. He is a good looking well balanced dog. By the way he loves to ride in the car and is not getting wild when he sees other cars or dogs outside like some dogs do. Boogie also stays periodically in my house and is no trouble. Boogie is a representative of our pp line, he is dog for someone who wants serious PP dog and not a sport toy. He has excellent breeding backgorund and can be used for breeding. | German Shepherd Dog | V Pardal z Jirkova dvora ZVV2 IPO3 | PARDAL is a typical son of his father ATILA z Kociciho dvora and therefore he belongs to the 3rd bloodline where he is geneticaly strenghtened via renowned dogs GRIM z PS and ILLO v.d. Abfuhr. From his dam's side we have to stress outstanding female DARKA z PS that was whole-life used at z Pohranicni straze kennel and was by far the best daughter of her father GRIM z PS. PARDAL is fast, has happy performance and has great willingness to work for his handler. PARDAL has very good hunt drive, natural sharpness and alertness. His strongest point are his tracking skills. At his IPO3 title judge evaluated his performance by 100 points. So far PARDAL has ZVV1 and IPO3 titles. We plan to do ZVV3 title by the end of 2011 We expect PARDAL to be an significant improver of devolving dark sable color, working abilities and strong health on his progeny. At the time of writing this description (January 2011) the dog is still prepared for our working program. | German Shepherd Dog | V Treu vom Schäferstolz ZM, SP/PS, ZVV1 | The hips sometimes skipped generations like in Klara z PS and sometimes it did not Ero z Osobovske skaly, (Heta z pohranicni straze....and others). That needs to be determined when breeding. Always look pass the dog in questions. Are the hips in his progeny same, worse or better. If worse stay away if same be careful or stay away( depending on the partner) if better breed it but be vigilant,.. if it is more then 5 generations back and still good then do not worry about it. | German Shepherd Dog | SG Grim z Pohranicni straze ZVV3, IPO3, SCHH3, ZPS1, ZM, FH1, (V7 WUSV 1997), (UM CR 1996 & 1997), (UMS 1997) | Grim is one of the most influential dogs in Czech. His descendant Yago Jipo Me was #4 dog in Czech in 2011 and was competing in WUSV in Kiev. There are many other exceptional dopgs from Grim. Famous dogs are over analyzed and often dissed . But they are famous for a reason. Tho say that there are too many dogs in the pedigrees and that may lead to problems from unknown traits I would say that that is a fallacy. All GSDs have Horand von Grafrath and that is not bad. We are using principles of selective breeding and that will help us to take care of problems. Thus I do not understand when people say we have too much of this excellent dog and too much of that exellent dog in our pedigrees. I personally believe that we should be more worry about not so excellent dogs in our pedigrees. Going back to Grim some actually start recognizing Grim line. Grim does not increases bad hips more then most. That was promoted by pedigree thumpers who do not have actual knowledge of the facts who assumed that from Grim's father Ben z Bolfu who has officially C hips. The truth of the matter is that when Ben z Bolfu died the autopsy revealed PERFECT hips. The reason for the mistake in evaluation of Ben's hips as "C" is unknown. Probably clerical error. The fact is that for example Dargo Ha Ja Da - son of Grim was hips improver. But Grim produced slightly above average of bad elbows. That had been bred just about out though, but by introducing Grim more then 2 times it could bring this problem to the surface. There are concerns for example that Gero z Blatenskeho zamku produced bad hips but in combination with Grim - Dargo ( hip improver) that had been diminished to below average levels.
