Jenn, I'm sorry for your sad experience with epilepsy.  Back in the 90's I had 3 successive dogs that I had euthanized because of uncontrollable 'idiopathic' epilepsy.  During the same time acquaintances experienced the same sorry outcome with their dogs, also the same bloodlines as mine.  To the point they were all Hildesheimer Land dogs and without fail the ped's contained the combo of Falka and Mink.  Now if you look on your bitch's fatherline, through Jessie and hit the 5 generation button, you'll have more to ponder.  You may suspect the epilepsy is coming through your motherline, but I wonder if the fatherline is involved;

PTS at 15 months old due to massive seizures that were caused by light. This is in her Dams bloodlines and has several others in the line with epilepsy.
