Ice is a high class dog ...
For a breeder from GSD that is with the breed with heart and soul i cant understand some people...
Why talk about dogs this way just because you dont like his owner its a big joke behaving like that
To juse a dog for you breeding you dont have to like or marry his owner
If you behave like that you will miss out on some good things in live
Nobody telling you to get with your female to Ice nobody give a s....if you do or not and nowing David he just dont give a s.... if you juse this dog on your females or not
He took Ice for hs own breeding and he will prove you all wrong
This dog ICE will produce manny new UK Camps and then you all behaved like little children and loose
Because this behavour allways does loose big time
Talking bad about a dog and his owner make some PETIT people feel like giants
Well wake up call you stay petit
Because real people that want to say something and stand for it are not under your kind of people
Head up Ice there are people that love you your aditute and your looks i am one of them
And you have more class in the tip of your nose then those people (that hide behind there computer) Has in there hole body

Unfortunatley K.C. rules do not cover H.D. I am not aware that this dog has or has proeney with this problem.

THE owner should not be taken into consideration when judging.
But the severity of faults should be looked and taken into consideration.

Who owns a dog is NOT a quality or a fault - it appears some judges think it is.

David he most certainly be a great dog to live with as so many others are. How ever the dog has numorous faults and some judges have penalised him for these.

A fabulous dog to own, and a dog which has helped to separate some of those GSD Judges who know a top class GSD when they see one, and those who clearly do not. Every little bit of information helps, when it is there to be gleaned. Accumulated knowledge can avoid wasteful entries.

I do not hide behind anonymity or ask my friends to do so and then attack someone else’s dog. It appears to me that too many in our breed have NO principles whatsoever. Whoever you are LONGSHANKS you are unaware of the facts. Ice failed his first Körung because the Körmeister stated he was TOO BIG. Another Judge/Körmeister who was present at that Körung actually questioned the decision, because another, clearly bigger dog was passed. Many other factors, including other SV judges/Körmeister’s subsequently measuring Ice at 66cms & 65cms & 65.5cms, one of these being at our British Sieger Show, when he was V3, led to permission being given for Ice to go to another Körung. He failed on his long bite, however he was measured. These measurements were submitted to the SV, and the ban on CH. Ice progeny being shown in Germany, and taking their full qualifications, SchH & Körung, was officially removed, and I have a letter to that effect from the SV. The pedigree of Ice has been appropriately and officially amended. Ice will take his Körung again next year. Most people involved with GSD, who have any knowledge of Schutzhund and the Körung, know that sometimes shit happens, look at any working trials and occasionally dogs have an off day and disappoint, they are NOT machines. Ice is world class, and his show record speaks for itself, you may like to pay particular attention to his Swiss Youth Sieger result, and ask those that were present which dog was a star of that show, when winning over the SG5 and SG6 of the German Sieger Show, held a few weeks earlier. FACTS. I could mention many dogs in the UK that are much bigger than Ice, especially several Champions, some having a Körung, even though they are at least 68cms.

As stated on Mr. Payne's website " A World Class Male" ?????????
Fact failed his Koerung twice in Germany thus making him unsuitable for Show or Breeding. The dog has been shown in England and gained top honours and also been used at stud. It is obvious that the Breed Survey carried out in England should be brought into question. He was not present at the British Sieger Show,I wonder why?. Was he not allowed?
Under the English Kennel Club system he can be shown and used at stud. The owner, Mr.Payne, obviously opperates double standards.
Question should the son's and daughter's of this dog shown, premoted and bred from.
From Ice's failure to pass his Koerung in Germany do we take it that he is below the required standard,

We sincerely thank everyone for their comments and congratulations on this website, and their emails, cards, phone calls and in person, in respect of CH. Ice's CRUFTS 2nd Open Dog & RCC - only headed by the superb Zamp vom Thermodos. Everyone who has seen or knows Ice will know what an outstanding dog he is, both in and out of the show ring.

Anybody who doesn't, really needs to learn much, much more, about our breed, especially about the top quality of the top dogs in Germany. They obviously lack such knowledge. Maybe UK held seminars, with video, and including very detailed oratory from a top German SV Judge, might help them. If they have the ability and open mind to learn.

We fully appreciate this magnificent dog that we own, Champion Ice vom Steinhauerberg. We especially thank David & Sharon for their superb training & Andrew Connolly for his superb handling.

Well Done ICE and to all who competed in the Open Class on this memorable occasion. To be in the same ring as Sieger Zamp v Thermodos (the Greatest GSD to ever walk this earth), must have been a great feeling, to come 2nd must have felt awesome, probably as good if not better than actually winning a CC !!

CRUFTS 2008

We were thrilled with CH.Ice winning 2nd in OPEN DOG and then winning RCC to Sieger Zamp vom Thermados CC & B.O.B.

To have had CH. Ice in the same ring with Sieger Zamp at this major show and seeing them together and also filmed and photographed together was fantastic. Added to this our outstanding CH. Ice son Videx Luigi won the Junior Dog Class, and also shared the ring with Zamp in the Challenge. Our sincere thanks to everyone for their warm congratulation on our wins on this very memorable occasion.

Many congratulations to all concerned on Ice gaining his well deserved title..

This is a dog pedigree, used by breeders and breed enthusiasts to see the ancestry and line-breeding of that individual dog. The pedigree page also contains links to the dogs siblings and progeny (if any exist). For dog owners with purebred dogs this is an excellent resource to study their dog's lineage.
