R.I.P. My sweet Elba! You were always there to make my day better. As tough as you were, you were always a happy girl that had a lot of fun and brought a smile to my face. Our home was a safer place because you were in it. You were a foster Mother to many of the rescues we took in, dog or cat, helped rehab them, and made them stronger due to your phenomenal temperament and strength of character. I will miss you coming to me and nudging my hand to remind me it was dinner time. I know that everyone in our training group will miss seeing you every six months on your birthday and half-birthday do your protection routine that you still did at 12 years of age. You were truly loyal right up to the end when you waited for me to awake this morning to be with you as you took your last breath. Elba, you were a true warrior in every sense of the word. I, and the dogs and cats, will miss you dearly.
