Ruim middelgrote, middelkrachtige, wolfsgrauwe reu met droog gespierd lichaam, veel pigment en goed geslachtstype. Rug voldoende vast met lichte knik daarachter, korte kroupe. Voor voldoende, achter goed gehoekt, front korrekt, gaat korrekt. Regelmatig gangwerk dat aan kracht moet winnen, voortred moet vrijer zijn. Zelfverzekerd karakter. Moed, Kampftrieb en Hardheid zijn uitgesproken. Stamt uit werkhondenlijn.
