My father Richard Barrett(Heidibraun Kennels) owned Zarek and I grew up with him in Ohio. Zarek was the first all-black International Grand Champion of the breed. He was a wonderful dog with a great temperament. He lived out his life with us and developed into a handsome stud with a good ruff of all black. Dad and Grant Mann were good friends and you will see the breeding between the two kennels. Herb Miller handled Zarek for us but Zarek always lived with us at Heidibraum Kennels in Ohio.
