Judge: Schneeloch at the 1963 Siegershow when Bodo went Youth-Sieger:

Good medium size, dry, firm, powerful with good masculinity. Shown in excellent condition. Very well angulated, his rear is very powerful. Shows clean, outreaching gait and good back. The honor of this day was his.

Judge: Dr Werner Funk at the 1967 Siegershow, when Bodo went Deutscher Sieger (German Grand Victor)

An over medium-sized, dry, firm dog who already has placed in Select Class last year. He possesses an outstanding fore assembly, powerful joints (bones), good croup with a true outreaching gait.

He represents the image of a very good dog, structurally as well as in character and ability. The reason why I hesitated somewhat in my decision (to award the title) was his size. I would prefer if he was a little smaller.

Probably THE best German Shepherd Dog of all time, together with his littermate Bernd.
